Privacy Policy

Information the App Collects

Runyard is designed with privacy in mind. The App runs entirely on your Mac and manages local development tool processes based on your own configuration files. Runyard does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

Specifically:

• Configuration files you create for Runyard are stored locally on your device and are never sent to any server.
• Process and health check data (HTTP polling of your local services) stays on your device.
• No accounts or sign-ups are required to use Runyard.

Anonymous Analytics

The App uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the European Union, to collect anonymized usage signals. TelemetryDeck assigns a pseudonymous, hashed identifier per install that cannot be reversed or linked to your identity. No IP addresses are logged by TelemetryDeck. No device fingerprinting or cross-app tracking occurs.

The data collected includes:

• App launches (with app version, macOS version, and number of configured tools)
• Tool start/stop events (with tool type only — e.g., service, shortcut, or group — never the tool name)
• Action clicks (with action type only — e.g., url, shell, applescript — never the action label or URL)
• Settings tab views (which tab was opened)
• Tool start failures (with failure category only — e.g., health check timeout, install failed — never error details)

No tool names, URLs, commands, file paths, or configuration contents are ever sent.

Your Choices

You can opt out of anonymous analytics at any time in Settings → About. When analytics are disabled, no data is sent to TelemetryDeck.

In-App Purchases

Runyard offers optional in-app purchases processed exclusively through Apple's App Store infrastructure. We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information. All transactions are handled by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy. We may receive anonymized transaction confirmations from Apple (e.g., that a purchase was completed), but these do not include your personal or financial details.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store — for processing in-app purchases.
• TelemetryDeck (telemetrydeck.com) — for anonymous usage analytics (see above). You can disable this in Settings → About.

Neither service receives personally identifiable information from Runyard.

Data Retention

Since Runyard does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain. Anonymous analytics data is retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregated form for as long as it remains useful for product improvement.

Children's Privacy

Runyard is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy complies with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
